Canadian and American passport owners entering India will require a visa. An e-visa option is available for travelers.
Internet access is easy in most chief expanses of India. Wi-Fi is available at most hotels, malls, cafes, restaurants, and bars. However, internet service is relatively poor in distant zones and villages.
There are two types of toilets in India:
  • 1) Asian squat toilets
  • 2) Western sit-down toilets
Squat toilets are the most generic in public bathrooms. It is suggested to bring your own hand sanitizer and tissues as some public bathrooms do not provide soap or toilet paper.
The ideal time to visit India is between October to March when the weather is chiefly warm, parched, and sunny,
There are numerous modes to get around the country. Visitors can choose a private vehicle or domestic flight to travel while the bus conveyance is expended for group travel.
It is sturdily recommended to avoid drinking tap water in India and stick to filtered water.
India holds numerous events and festivals, but two of the major celebrations are Holi and Diwali. Holi is the Hindu Festival of Colors, rejoiced annually in March after the full moon. Diwali is the Hindu Festival of Lights celebrated yearly for five days in either October or November.
Tipping is not mandatory in India. However, a gratuity is appreciated if you receive outstanding service from your driver, hotel staff, and guide.
Although it depends on your preferences and interests, it is generally recommended to visit North on your first visit to India to witness the majestic beauty of the Taj Mahal and the key spots in Varanasi and Rajasthan. South India can be visited as an extension or a discrete tour altogether.
